Our Relationship

Our first priority is to provide products and services based on the optimal solutions to our clients’ needs regardless of the type of compensation we receive.  We believe that the relationships between Sterling Resources, Ltd. and our clients are based on trust.  To ensure that our clients have the information needed to evaluate the basis of our relationship, we provide the following information about our compensation which is entirely contingent on finding a satisfactory solution to your needs:

• The majority of our compensation comes from commissions. These commissions are paid to us by the insurance companies we are authorized to represent. Commissions vary depending of the type of product purchased and are often greater in the first policy year than in subsequent years. Receipt of commissions is contingent on finding a satisfactory solution to your needs.
• We may also receive other forms of compensation from the insurance companies we are authorized to represent based upon factors such as volume and or persistency.  While this compensation varies from company to company, such compensation can include allowances, fees, overrides, bonuses, and incentive based prizes, gifts or trips.
• Some of our compensation is in the form of client paid fees. These fees are received by us for insurance consulting services and are agreed upon in advance of the provision of services.
