Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
As the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Resources, Ltd. and Sterling Resources International of Bermuda Ltd., Karl is responsible for all specialized insurance services. Karl earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Fairfield University. Karl is the 3rd generation of the Feitelberg family to enter the insurance industry. He is a licensed Insurance Advisor, and has earned designations of Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, Trust and Estate Practitioner, Accredited Estate Planner®; holds a FINRA Series 6 registration (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative), is a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU), Boston Estate Planning Council, a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, a member of The Society of Financial Service Professionals, and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners* ("S.T.E.P."). Recognized both nationally and internationally, Karl is regularly invited to chair and/or speak at seminars and conferences for legal, tax, and accounting professionals and has authored several articles on International Insurance issues.

Tobi has been with Sterling Resources, Ltd. since its inception 28 years ago. She oversees all functions of Sterling Resources ensuring a smooth and efficient operation and manages the financial aspects of our U.S. and International operations. Tobi is also responsible for advanced underwriting, specializing in Private and Corporate split dollar plan evaluation, implementation and service and assists our producer group with the ongoing development of planning tools and portfolio stress testing. She entered the insurance industry in 1987 as a Marketing Director, providing detailed case design as well as analysis of products and insurance carriers, to the sales associates of a general agency of a major life insurance carrier. She holds a BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA in Finance and Information Systems from Northeastern University.
Gary R. Lee
Third Party Advisor Services
Gary joined Sterling Resources to develop a Third Party Advisor practice focused on assisting attorneys, accountants, investment advisors and trustees as they assess the estate planning, business succession and employee benefit program needs of their high net worth clients. Gary holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Juris Doctorate degree, and an L.L.M. in taxation. In addition to being a lawyer, Gary is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the California Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Boston Estate Planning Council. Gary joined Sterling Resources after having spent a dozen years as National Director of Insurance Consulting Services with Deloitte & Touche. He is the author of the Bureau of National Affairs (BNA) portfolio on evaluating life insurance policies and has spoken at numerous tax and insurance forums including the New York University Institute of Taxation, the University of Miami Heckerling Forum on Estate Planning, Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) regional meetings, and the International Bar Association International Wealth Transfer Practice Conference. Jason is the 4th generation of the Feitelberg family to enter the insurance industry. He joined Sterling Resources, Ltd. in 2011 to expand our estate planning business through the utilization of life insurance products. A 2004 graduate of Colby Sawyer with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Jason has 6 years experience in financial services at Babson Capital and 1 year of marketing experience with Single Sources Energy Solutions. Jason is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council and is currently attending The American College working towards his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation. He currently holds Life & Health Insurance licenses and Series 7 and 66 FINRA registrations.
Jason has been honored by the Cape and Plymouth Business Magazine's "40 under 40 Awards" which spotlights the region's top young business leaders who excel in their industry and show dynamic leadership. Jason also serves as Trustee/Development Chair for Crossroads for Kids, an organization dedicated to creating a safe and caring community for children at risk. Chief Operating Officer
Caitlin has been with Sterling Resources, Ltd. for 19 years, and is responsible for servicing our clients' inforce policies/contracts. She is also responsible for overseeing Sterling Resources' underwriting and licensing department. Caitlin works directly with our clients' attorneys, accountants and advisors, allowing our office to coordinate the execution and exchange of necessary supporting documents required to streamline the accounting and year-end reporting. Each case is designed specifically to our client's needs. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Emmanuel College.
Linda Nistico Klier
Chief Financial Officer
Linda joined Sterling Resources Ltd, 4 years ago. She is responsible for financial and management reporting for Sterling Resources Insurance Agency, Inc. and its related business entities. She oversees the daily accounting operations to ensure all financial components of the insurance transactions are properly captured and recorded in a timely and efficient manner. She holds a BA in Accounting from Babson College. Prior to joining Sterling Resources, Linda started her career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen, LLP in Boston. There she earned her CPA credentials and worked for 14 years in both the Commercial Audit division and the Operational Consulting division.
Marketing and Administration
Carol has been with Sterling Resources, Ltd. for 19 years, and provides administrative support to Karl Feitelberg. In addition, she works with our producers in the preparation of illustrations and marketing presentations. She also coordinates Sterling's events and industry presentations. Prior to joining Sterling Resources, Carol was a computer software instructor. Her experience and knowledge with various software applications have proven her to be an invaluable asset to our team.
New Business and Policyholder Support
Mimi joined Sterling Resources, Ltd. 7 years ago and works in all aspects of the underwriting process and policyholder services. She is also responsible for obtaining proper carrier appointments for our producers. Mimi works with our clients' attorneys, accountants and advisors, allowing our office to coordinate the execution and exchange of necessary supporting documents required to streamline the life insurance planning process. She entered the life insurance industry in 1988 working as a New Business Case Manager and has been a liasion for agents and life underwriters for a major life insurance company for many years. Mimi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Boston University.
Administration and Technical Support
Sean joined Sterling Resources, Ltd. 7 years ago and provides additional administrative and marketing support. He is also responsible for Sterling's computer support, communications and network maintenance. Prior to joining Sterling Resources, Sean received his certificate from The American International College's Computer Hardware and Networking program.
Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer
Julia has been with Sterling Resources, Ltd. for 20 years. She is primarily responsible for Accounts Payable and Receivable and the preparation of financial statements. In addition, she manages human resource data, payroll and employee benefits. Julia holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Lesley College.
Underwriting Process: Includes preliminary forms, obtaining medical record history, coordinating examination times, providing insurance carriers entire underwriting files and negotiating the best offer for our client.
Servicing: Includes but is not limited to, changes to an inforce policy/contract such as, loan/withdrawal transactions, dividend option, underwriting classification updates, address changes, death benefit options and owner/beneficiary changes. In addition, our office provides a detailed Summary of Policy Values, including inforce illustrations reflecting current and reduced dividend and interest rate assumptions. Our office assists our traditional, registered variable clients and private placement clients by providing forms for the execution of their desired premium allocations, fund transfers and obtain performance histories. For our private placement clients only we assist in premium notification and help execute transfers of funds among their various planning entities.
In addition, we provide assistance with coordinating life insurance and annuity products with the necessary supporting documents: Examples, Irrevocable/Revocable Trusts, Split Dollar Agreements, Collateral Assignments, LLC's, and various administrative services.
